Making a complex crisis understandable

Displacement, protection concerns and overlapping needs in Niger demanded communication that could hold complexity without losing people. From Niamey and through work connected to Diffa, Tillabéri and Maradi, I helped translate humanitarian evidence into a clearer case for attention and action.

Communication inside coordination

At OCHA, I led the Strategic Communication, Advocacy and Financing Unit. The work connected reporting, donor engagement and advocacy with coordination involving 11 UN agencies, NGO and government partners and the Humanitarian Country Team.

The field and the decision room

The film following Ursula Mueller’s December 2019 visit sits alongside situation reporting and advocacy materials. It connects field encounters with data and senior-level appeals. Together these pieces show how communication supported a broader coordination and financing effort, rather than acting as a standalone campaign.
