UNESCO Creativity Platform
Giving knowledge a common home
UNESCO’s work on the diversity of cultural expressions involved many audiences and information needs. Fragmented tools made it harder to connect policy knowledge, programme activities and communication. I began by reviewing that landscape and identifying how the systems could work together.
Designing the connections
The resulting Drupal platform combined a shared visual identity with structured information, database functions and multi-user workflows. I adapted a Bootstrap interface to UNESCO’s identity and worked across the relationships between content, data and access.
An international knowledge platform
The platform supported multilingual access to the work of the 2005 Convention, bringing communication and knowledge management into a more coherent experience. The images below show the review and the interface as parts of the same design process.
