I started producing this short film in the framework of a contest organised by the Kenyan NGO FilmAid and aiming to find a videoclip for the release of Michael Kiwanuka's song "Home Again". At the time I had just collected the stories of many of the migrants arrived on the coasts of Lampedusa and I was struck by the tragic story of a young couple who had been parted away during the journey and was trying to rejoin for more than 5 years. I thus decided to base my video on their story and to exploit available photo and video reportages on migrants flows in the Mediterranean for the imagery. As this was my first photo morphing film, the project took finally longer than expected and I finally did not participate to the contest. However, the full film is currently running for other festivals and awards. Like this project?
